Great News- DES Subsidies Update

Here is the latest Update from ADHS in regards to DES Subsidies:

Dear Arizona Child Care Community,

The Governor’s Office is committed to ensuring that children are cared for safely during the COVID-19 pandemic, that care is available to first responders and essential personnel, and that Arizona’s child care infrastructure remains intact so that families have a strong early learning and afterschool network of providers to return to when this pandemic is over.

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) is dedicated to supporting the Governor in his efforts. It is the State’s intention to financially support child care providers through this difficult time to enable providers to continue to employ individuals and alleviate the cost burden to low income families during a time when resources may be uncertain. DES will implement the following immediately:

Child care providers contracted with DES will continue to receive child care reimbursement payments at the level of units of service that were provided in the month of January 2020. All units will be reimbursed at the full day rate.

If you have not submitted documents for reimbursement for January 2020 services, please submit them as soon as possible.

Payments for March 2020 services will be sent to providers on April 1, 2020 and will continue to be disbursed on the 1st of each month until further notice.

These payments will continue during temporary closures. For providers who have reason to believe that this level of payment would not reflect continuing operational needs, please send an email to ccapaymentprocessing@azdes.gov.

Providers are required to continue to submit billing documents as PDF files scanned and emailed to ccapaymentprocessing@azdes.gov. Mail (or fax: 602-542-2426) will be accepted, if the scanning option if not available.

Sign-in/Sign-out forms are still required to be maintained for your records and as requested by DES.

Effective April 1, 2020, providers who currently submit PDQ billing will no longer be able to enter online billings.

We greatly appreciate your partnership and acknowledge you for your invaluable contributions and dedication to Arizona’s families.
